Charles Darwin's importance as one of the greatest scientists of all time, and the heritage of his life and work at Downe, near London, have been the catalysts for The Charles Darwin Forum.

Through promotion of Darwin-Inspired Thinking, the Forum’s facilities and programmes will break new ground and transform the way people of all ages, including policy makers, view science and the natural world.

The Forum's base will be next to Darwin's former home, Down House, where it looks out across the countryside in which he developed many powerful insights by studying nature.

The education programmes are being developed in collaboration with teaching institutions for whom Darwin and his scientific methods have great appeal.

The Forum will also provide web access to a wealth of information about Darwin's works, its education programme and the current issues it debates.

Fundraising for The Charles Darwin Forum is undertaken by The Charles Darwin Trust.
